Bentonite – 20KG is a W.A. sourced clay which is excellent for improving the quality of sandy soils. Each bag contains 20 kg of the easy to use granules, the main benefits of which are:
- Improves water absorption and retention
- Prevents leaching of manures, composts and fertilisers
- Contains calcium, magnesium and potassium
Application rates for new garden beds are 3-5 kg of bentonite per square metre along with manure or compost. This should be dug in to a depth of 15-25 cm. The rear of the bag contains full information on application rates in other areas of the garden.
